Hi guys! Sorry I've not kept you informed about recent happenings. Well, in late April and early May 2009, I had a group art exhibition with three other London-based professional artists at the WAC Gallery in Waterloo: Hassan Aliyu, Michael Echekoba and Aynur Karaman. The exhibition attracted many visitors from London and beyond. We also had the pleasure of welcoming to the exhibition the Nigerian Deputy High Commissioner Mr Dozie Nwanna.
Many of the visitors were impressed with the level of work on show and said the works were bold, colourful and full of energy. Hassan's work generally evokes movement, as in his 'The Girl Who Can Run,' while Michael's paintings celebrate the human form and his Nigerian root. Aynur's great ideas gave life to her abstract paintings. See a few photos from the show.
